Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Support classroom teachers by helping with lesson implementation, activity setup, and cleanup
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions to promote growth and development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by following health and safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns that arise
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups to provide seamless coverage as needed
• Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of child abuse or neglect and reporting appropriately

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar safety training is advantageous
• Familiarity with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Previous babysitting or childcare experience that showcases responsibility and nurturing skills

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
