Schedule: 25–40 hours per week, depending on needs, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, including closing duties
Primary classrooms: Toddler and preschool

Overview

Do you love helping children learn, grow, and feel at home? We’re seeking a caring, dependable Daycare Floater to bring warmth, patience, and energy to our toddler and preschool classrooms. Guided by our Christian faith, we strive to treat every child with kindness and respect while creating a welcoming place to learn and play.

You’ll support teachers, help children navigate their daily routines, and move between classrooms as needs change. This is meaningful work, but it’s also busy and fast-paced—success takes flexibility, teamwork, and a steady, caring presence. The role includes end-of-day closing duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals, and naps, keeping their safety and well-being at the forefront.
• Support teachers with lesson plans and age-appropriate developmental activities.
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom through basic sanitation and preparation of materials.
• Communicate with parents about their child’s day and progress in a warm and professional manner.
• Follow mandated reporting laws and report signs of abuse or neglect as required.
• Encourage positive behavior through patient, consistent classroom guidance.
• Help with daily routines and transitions, and assist with closing duties at the end of the day.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and provide classroom support wherever it is needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Previous childcare experience required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Required certifications in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and child safety training.
• Knowledge of child development and early childhood practices.
• Strong classroom management and behavior management skills.
• Strong communication skills with parents and team members.
• A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting others.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and comfortable moving between classrooms and age groups as needed.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
