Daycare Teacher

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Preschool Teacher at treeHouse, you will help create a warm, engaging classroom environment where children feel safe, seen, and supported.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing attentive, nurturing care to young children
• Planning and participating in age-appropriate learning activities
• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Encouraging learning through play, exploration, music, movement, art, and hands-on activities
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom
• Building positive relationships with children and families
• Following classroom routines, center policies, and Virginia childcare requirements
• Maintaining appropriate supervision of children at all times
• Communicating professionally and respectfully with families and team members
• Observing and supporting each child's individual needs and development
• Participating in classroom cleaning, organization, and daily routines
• Working collaboratively with other teachers and administration

• Comfortable working with children ages 16 months–5 years

Previous experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or early childhood education setting is required.

Candidates must meet applicable Virginia childcare staff requirements for the position.

Monday–Friday
Operating hours: 7:00 AM–6:00 PM

Full-time availability is preferred.
Part-time availability is open.
