Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts.
• Supervise and engage children during playtime, activities, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and well-being.
• Foster a nurturing environment by providing emotional support and encouraging positive behavior management techniques.
• Monitor children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that adheres to health and safety standards, including proper sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with team members to plan special activities, educational outings, and developmental assessments.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral concerns.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies.
• Certification in first aid and CPR; experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to build trustful relationships with children and families.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and caregiving practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
