Daycare Van Driver

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, mature, and responsible Daycare Van Driver to safely transport children to and from our daycare center, schools, and scheduled activities.

The ideal candidate enjoys working around children, has a clean and safe driving record, and understands the importance of being punctual, patient, attentive, and professional at all times.

• Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, or similar vehicles to transport children along designated local routes.
• Safely transport children to and from the daycare, schools, homes, and approved activities.
• Ensure the secure loading and unloading of children, assisting with seat belts and car seats as needed.
• Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies during daily routes.
• Maintain clear communication with parents, caregivers, and daycare staff regarding pick-up and drop-off schedules or any delays.
• Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage and maintenance needs.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass required background checks and driving record checks.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
• Ability to assist loading or unloading children’s belongings or equipment.
• Strong knowledge of local driving routes and traffic regulations to ensure timely arrivals.
• Excellent communication skills for parents interaction and coordination with daycare staff.
• Must maintain a professional and positive attitude.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
