Dayshift Care Assistant

Duties

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Support the implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences
• Encourage social engagement and participation in activities to enhance mental and emotional well-being
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates to care plans and daily logs
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
• Support transportation needs by driving residents or clients to appointments or outings when required
• Monitor health conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and updating care plans accurately
• Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding practices is advantageous
• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude toward helping others

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 38.5 per week
