Daytime Restaurant Host(ess)

Love mornings? Enjoy meeting new people? Want your evenings free? Our daytime Host(ess) position could be a great fit.

About Us
Anna's House is a Midwest born serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch for years, and guests come back as much for the friendly feel as for the food. We keep a bright, busy dining room and a team that looks out for each other.

The Role
As our Daytime Host(ess), you set the pace at the front of the house from open through the lunch crowd. You'll greet guests as they arrive, keep the wait moving, and help the dining room run smoothly so servers and the kitchen can do their best work.

What You'll Do (and make a lasting impression!):

As our Host(ess), you are the director of first impressions and the orchestrator of our dining room flow. Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests at the door and letting them know how long the wait is
• Tracking open tables and seating parties so each server gets a fair, steady rotation
• Keeping the waitlist organized and checking in with waiting guests during the weekend brunch rush
• Taking phone calls and answering questions about our menu, hours, and daily features
• Walking guests to their tables and handing off menus with a friendly word or two
• Pitching in on drink refills, table resets, and light bussing when the floor gets busy
• Keeping the front entrance, lobby, and host area neat and ready for the next guest
• Staying in touch with servers and managers so everyone knows which tables are open and which are coming up next
• Resolving small guest requests on the spot and bringing in a manager when needed

What You Bring to Our Table:

• Light up around people and enjoy making small talk
• Stay upbeat and focused when the lobby is full and the phone keeps ringing
• Like keeping things organized and juggling a few tasks at once
• Show up on time, ready to go, for early starts
• Speak clearly and kindly with guests and coworkers alike
• Can be on your feet and moving for the length of a shift
• Take pride in a neat, professional appearance
• Want to be part of a team that helps each other out
• A positive attitude and a true team player mindset!

Why You'll Love Working with Us:

• Be the face of a beloved local breakfast spot! Your positive energy sets the tone for everyone's day.
• Consistent early morning/daytime shifts: Get your workday done and enjoy your evenings!
• Competitive hourly wage and delicious staff meals/discounts on our amazing menu.
• Work in a supportive, energetic, and positive team environment.
• Opportunities to learn and grow within the restaurant industry.
• Directly contribute to creating happy experiences for our guests every single day.
