What they need
DB2 Database Administrator
We are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA to manage and optimize DB2 z/OS and DB2 LUW environments, ensuring database performance, availability, security and stability.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize DB2 z/OS and LUW databases
- Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning and query optimization
- Manage capacity, storage and disaster recovery
- Automate monitoring and operational tasks using REXX, COBOL, JCL or Python
- Support incident, problem, change and release management
- Maintain technical documentation and mentor junior colleagues
- Participate in on-call rotations and approximately 8 release weekends per year
Requirements
- Strong experience with DB2 z/OS and DB2 LUW
- Good knowledge of COBOL, REXX, JCL and SQL
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization and capacity management
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
- Strong communication, documentation and mentoring skills
- Fluent English
