Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled DBA Senior Consultant with a strong background in DB2 Database Administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert consultancy services to our clients, ensuring optimal database performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of DB2 systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues while delivering high-quality solutions tailored to client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultancy on DB2 database architecture, design, and implementation.

• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

• Conduct database health checks and implement necessary improvements.

• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.

• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patch management.

• Develop and maintain database documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.

• Implement and manage database security measures to protect sensitive data.

• Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on DB2 best practices.

• Stay updated with the latest DB2 features and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in DB2 Database Administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

• Proficient in SQL and database performance tuning.

• Experience with backup and recovery strategies for DB2 databases.

• Knowledge of database security practices and compliance standards.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with other database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions.

• Knowledge of database automation tools and scripting languages.

• Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.

• Certifications related to DB2 or database management are a plus.
