DBA SQL Server

A leading financial organization is looking for a SQL Server DBA to support and optimize complex production database environments.

The role includes working closely with development and infrastructure teams, managing SQL Server environments end-to-end, and supporting complex application and database processes in production.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and operate Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning.
• Optimize queries, Stored Procedures, indexes, and execution plans.
• Work with Always On Availability Groups and high-availability environments.
• Manage SQL Server Agent, jobs, and scheduled processes.
• Maintain and support ETL processes and database-related automations.
• Work closely with development teams to improve performance, design solutions, and resolve application-related database issues.
• Support production environments and handle complex incidents and performance issues.
• Contribute to database reliability, scalability, and operational stability.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA – must.
• Proven experience as both an infrastructure and application DBA – must.
• Strong experience with performance tuning and query optimization – must.
• Good understanding of execution plans, indexing, locking, blocking, and deadlocks – must.
• Experience working with Stored Procedures and T-SQL – must.
• Experience with SQL Server Agent and Jobs – must.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with development and infrastructure teams.
