What they need

Join one of the biggest transport expansions in North Queensland.

Through the combined capability of Lindsay Transport and SRT Logistics, part of the Lindsay Australia Group, we've secured a major secondary freight contract servicing 39 stores from Mackay to Cairns.

We're investing in a new fleet, opening new depots and building a high-performing team. This is your opportunity to join a new operation from day one with long-term job security and genuine career opportunities.

Why join Lindsay's Townsville Depot?

As DC Manager, you'll lead one of our depots in our national network, overseeing a diverse and complex operation across road, rail, warehousing and multiple freight streams.

This is a hands-on senior leadership role where your decisions will directly influence safety, operational performance, people, customer outcomes and commercial results.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead with purpose - Champion our Safe Always culture, set clear expectations and ensure safety remains at the forefront of everything we do.
  • Drive operational excellence - Oversee a high-volume operation spanning local fleets, road and rail movements, cross-dock warehousing, multiple commodity types and temperature zones, while supporting an efficient linehaul network.
  • Lead and develop your team - Build a high-performing and accountable workforce through clear leadership, coaching, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Strengthen customer partnerships - Build trusted relationships with key customers, deliver on commitments and maintain Lindsay's reputation for reliable, high-quality service.
  • Own the results - Take accountability for safe and cost-effective depot operations, including labour planning, budgets, cost management, site maintenance and overall operational performance.
  • Make an impact - Play a key role in the continued growth and development of our Townsville operations and broader North Queensland network.

Why join Lindsay Australia?

  • Secure, long-term employment with one of Australia's leading transport companies
  • Be part of new and expanding operations across North Queensland
  • Modern fleet, facilities and equipment
  • Support from an experienced and close-knit leadership team
  • Reliable weekly wages
  • Service milestone recognition gifts
  • $1,500 referral reward for eligible employee referrals
  • Employee discounts, including 40% off Ringers Western merchandise and 15% off Bridgestone Tyres
  • Novated leasing options through our partner provider
  • Financial support to complete approved training and licences
  • Ongoing career development opportunities across our Australia-wide business
  • Supportive, safety-first and inclusive workplace culture

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven senior leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience leading diverse, high-performing teams, ideally within transport, logistics or a similar operational environment.
  • A strong safety mindset and demonstrated ability to build a workplace where safety is genuinely embedded in day-to-day operations.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams, manage performance and build a culture of accountability and engagement.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills and the ability to build trusted, long-term partnerships.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, controlling costs and delivering meaningful operational and business reporting.
  • A strong operational and process focus, supported by sound judgement, problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
  • A high level of accountability and self-leadership, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and consistently deliver results.
