The Role
This is a specialist Inbound Management position.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the Inbound function of the Drury DC, managing a team of operators and two shift supervisors.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused leadership role accountable for the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of inbound stock, daily performance against KPIs, and continuous improvement across your team. You will be on the floor with your team, setting the standard and driving outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

- Drive a safety-first culture, upholding HSE standards and incident processes
- Coach, support, and develop shift supervisors and operators, holding the team to clear performance standards
- Maintain inbound accuracy, stock movement, and inventory integrity on receipt
- Monitor productivity, address issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and manage rosters and staffing to ensure efficient use of resources
- Maintain housekeeping, equipment, and preventive maintenance standards across the DC
- Support the recruitment, induction, and training of new team members
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven distribution centre or operational experience at team leader/manager level, ideally five years or more
- Demonstrated people leadership with a genuinely hands-on, coaching style
- The ability to hold a team to account while supporting people to grow
- Experience with WMS and scanner technology, plus MS Office
- A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and operational performance
- Experience in larger teams or complex, high-volume environments is advantageous
- A relevant warehousing qualification is preferred but not essential
About You
You are a practical, people-first operational leader who leads from the front. You set clear expectations and hold people to them, and you do it in a way that builds capability, confidence, and trust. You take real pride in a safe, well-run operation, and you are motivated by the chance to develop a team and improve the way things are done.
What's in it for you
This is a chance to lead the Inbound operation of a well-known New Zealand business that is growing and investing in its future. You will have genuine ownership of your team and your area, the backing of a business putting real money into new technology, and clear scope for career growth and development. For a hands-on operational leader who wants to build a high-performing team, this is a strong platform.
