Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room is a specialty Burmese restaurant brand known for its authentic Burmese flavours, traditional culinary influences, and contemporary presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef in managing the assigned kitchen section.
• Prepare and execute dishes according to standard recipes, portion sizes, quality and presentation standards.
• Handle daily mise en place and ensure all preparations are completed before service.
• Prepare sauces, stocks, marinades, dressings and other Asian preparations as required.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of Burmese / Pan-Asian / Chinese cooking techniques.
• Handle cooking methods such as wok cooking, stir-frying, steaming, frying, grilling and other relevant techniques.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, quality, portioning and presentation.
• Support smooth and timely food production during peak service hours.
• Guide and support Commis-level team members when required.
• Maintain proper food storage, labelling, FIFO/FEFO and temperature-control practices.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation and kitchen SOPs.
• Monitor raw-material quality and report any issues to the senior chef.
• Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient utilization of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned section and equipment.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant experience in Burmese, Pan-Asian or Chinese cuisine is mandatory.
• Candidates with only Indian, Continental, Bakery or unrelated cuisine experience will not be considered.
• Previous experience as DCDP / Commis 1 / equivalent kitchen role in a reputed restaurant, hotel or specialty kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Good understanding of mise en place, food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Ability to maintain consistency and quality during high-volume service.
• Good teamwork, discipline and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends and holidays.

Only candidates currently residing in Bengaluru will be considered.

Candidates must be available to attend a Face-to-Face interview in Bengaluru. Candidates from outside Bengaluru who are not currently residing in the city will not be considered for this opening.
