DCE Project Controls Manager

For our client, we are seeking a DCE Project Controls Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will oversee project controls for mission-critical construction initiatives, with a strong focus on cost tracking, reporting discipline, and financial risk management.

The position partners closely with project teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep budgets, schedules, and change management processes aligned across retrofit and operational repair work.

Success in this role will require hands-on control of project financials and the ability to support accurate, defensible reporting throughout the construction lifecycle.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain reporting frameworks for project controls
• Execute accurate daily cost-code accounting on site
• Process monthly billings and verify work-in-place
• Audit lien waivers to manage financial risks
• Track budgets for operational repair or retrofit builds
• Lead the change order defense process and verify contractor claims
• Integrate project budgets with master schedules for performance tracking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or Accounting
• 5-8 years in project controls, cost engineering, or construction accounting
• 2-3 years on mission-critical or data center construction projects
• Advanced proficiency with PMIS tools and critical-path scheduling software
• Strong knowledge of open-book cost reviews and multi-tier contract mechanics
