DCRP Licensed Electrician

We are seeking qualified and experienced Electricians meeting DCRP Grade C requirements to join our electrical contracting team in Oman.

The successful candidates will support electrical installation, maintenance and distribution works including 11 kV systems, underground and overhead cable works, distribution substations and associated LV/MV electrical activities, while complying with DCRP requirements, electrical safety regulations and company HSE procedures.

Under DCRP Grade C, electrical contractors are authorized for works including 11 kV overhead and underground cables, construction of 11/0.415 kV distribution substations and 11 kV indoor termination works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and related site works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and DCRP requirements.
• Assist in 11 kV underground and overhead cable works.
• Perform LV electrical installation, wiring, cable pulling, termination and connection works.
• Support electrical works related to 11/0.415 kV distribution substations.
• Carry out electrical testing and basic troubleshooting as instructed by the Engineer/Foreman.
• Follow Electrical Safety Rules (ESR), work permits and approved safety procedures.
• Use electrical tools, test instruments and PPE correctly.
• Attend toolbox talks, site safety briefings and required DCRP/HSE training.
• Coordinate with the Electrical Engineer, Foreman, Linemen and Cable Jointers.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions at all times.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, electrical hazards or defective equipment.

Mandatory Requirements

For Non-Omani Candidates:

• Minimum 6 months Vocational Training in Electrical from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical work experience.
• Valid DCRP Electrician License or candidate must be eligible to obtain/renew the required DCRP Electrician License.
• Valid Oman Resident Card and employment visa.
• Resident Card / Ministry of Labour occupation should be relevant to the position of Electrician.
• Relevant education, vocational and experience certificates must be available for submission.

For Omani Candidates:

• Secondary School Certificate or minimum six months' Vocational Training in Electrical.
• Relevant electrical knowledge and practical capability.
• DCRP Electrician License / eligibility for DCRP licensing.
