DCS Commissioning Engineer (Zenon)

Role - DCS Commissioning Engineer (Contract role)

Location - Site based, Germany

Our power client is looking for a DCS Commissioning Engineer. This Engineer will need experience with Zenon and a valid driving license

The position involves travelling to customers’ sites home and abroad 70% of the working time and the remainder from their Berlin office.

The main responsibilities for this position are:

1. configure and on-site tests of DCS solutions,
2. verify project design against local regulations,
3. coordinate project design between multi-national teams,
4. manage technical discussions between various project stakeholders to compromise the client’s requirements ver. feasibility,
5. aftersales support for clients in the region;
6. technical support for the project teams, as well as sales and tendering teams,
7. deliver customer trainings (presentations, hands-on training)

Qualifications:

1. Education: Technical High School Diploma or equivalent required – automation, IT systems, electrotechnical faculties being most relevant ones;
2. Experience: HMI’s and SCADA Gateways e.g. ZENON, SPRECON, SYNDIS RV, PACIS, etc.
3. substation communication protocols, eg. IEC61850, DNP3, IEC60870-5-104/101/103, Modbus,
4. network management protocols like SNMP,
5. acquaintance of DCS systems e.g. DS Agile will be a plus
6. configuring network devices, firewalls, routers, domain controllers, etc. will be a plus
7. Experience with protection relays will be a plus,
8. Sound interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse groups of clients, both external and internal;
9. Specific knowledge:
10. Native or fluent German;
11. Languages:
12. English to effectively communicate with multinational customers and other functions abroad;
13. Ukrainian (Russian) will be considered a plus;
14. Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information;
15. Driving license valid in EU is mandatory;
