DCS Engineer

• Operate and monitor plant processes through the DCS control system during the assigned shift.
• Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, pH, viscosity, RPM, addition rates and reaction time.
• Control and monitor batch processes for products such as resins, emulsions and other specialty chemical products.
• Ensure process parameters are maintained as per approved SOPs, batch sheets and operating procedures.
• Monitor reactor charging, material addition, heating, cooling, agitation and reaction sequences through DCS.
• Identify process deviations, alarms and abnormal operating conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
• Monitor DCS alarms, interlocks, permissives and process trends.
• Coordinate with Production, Instrumentation, Electrical, Maintenance and QC teams for smooth plant operation.
• Ensure proper execution of batch recipes and sequences as per approved manufacturing instructions.
• Record and maintain process data, shift reports, batch records and other production documentation.
• Coordinate with field operators for checking field instruments, valves, equipment and actual process conditions.
• Communicate abnormal conditions, equipment issues and pending activities during shift handover.
• Support troubleshooting of DCS-related process and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, PPE, Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO and emergency procedures.
• Monitor process trends and identify opportunities for improving production efficiency, quality and energy consumption.
• Assist in DCS logic/sequence modifications, parameter optimization and system improvement activities in coordination with the automation/instrumentation team.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards in the control room and plant area.
• Ensure safe handling and processing of chemicals according to established procedures.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
