DCS Operation Engineer

About the role

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ISASMELT furnace at a smelting plant and to ensure that all smelting material are processed efficiently and effectively to meet production targets, and that all operations are carried out in compliance with quality, health and safety regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the ISASMELT furnace to ensure proper smelting of material both via distributed control system and on-site understanding with proper process knowledge (lab/machinery/process related)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all materials received, processed, and stored in the smelting plant
• Ensure all smelting material are processed efficiently and effectively, according to company standards and procedures
• Monitor the quality and quantity of materials produced and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of ISASMELT furnace (smelting plant machinery and equipment)
• Liaise with other members of the smelting team to ensure production targets are met
• Report any abnormal situation or incident to either shift supervisor, CRO or metallurgist immediately
• Perform additional duties requested by Head of Department such as taking part in trainings

Requirements

• Minimum degree in any related fields.

• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Ability to ensure production target met with good responsibility and reliability in problem solving.

• Willingness to work shifts and overtime, as required.

• Applicants must be willing to work in Pulau Indah, Port Klang, Selangor.
