Duties and Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly collection targets and actively reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
• Maximize collections while minimizing exposure to bad debts.
• Ensure accurate allocation of receipts and timely posting to debtor accounts.
• Consistently meet deadlines set by management for reporting and reconciliations.
• Prepare and send out monthly statements and invoices ahead of deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
• Prepare debtor reports, ageing analysis, and collection forecasts for management review.
• Handle internal and external calls professionally, maintaining strong telephonic etiquette.
• Draft clear, professional correspondence to clients via email.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to promote repeat business.
• Attend to customer queries promptly, ensuring resolution within agreed turnaround times.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, short payments, and account queries.
• Liaise with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth resolution.
• Coordinate and organize tasks to meet objectives and deadlines efficiently.
• review customer credit accounts, perform checks, and recommend limits.
• Uphold the principle of “under-promise, over-deliver” to exceed client expectations.
• Take pride in work quality, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all outputs.
