Debug Technician

About the role

Debug Technician is responsible for troubleshooting units that are detected to fail received from production. They will work closely with production, quality team, process team, test team and product team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and test various reject meters, electronic assemblies and PCBs (printed circuit boards) down to the component level
• Perform first level analysis for production support
• Document root causes of failure meters and recommend corrective actions
• Troubleshoot the failure according to the priority SO (sales order) to meet PTS target date
• Provide feedback or open discussion with Engineer if issues are still encountered
• Provide support on special tasks such as reject meters from SG, fail units from subcon, change part for NPI
• Maintain tools and equipment in a work station including Preventive Maintenance (PM) to ensure compliance with safety standard and company procedures

About you

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronic or equivalent

• 2 years of working experience in the related field are advantage

• Good soldering and rework skills and working knowledge with software applications

• Knowledge in circuit analysis of schematic diagrams and debugging tools at PCBA level or component level

• Independent with good analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Competent in required job knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks

• Consistently completes assignments or work requirements on time without compromising on quality

• Willing to work shifts (day and night shift rotation)
