Debug Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform debugging and troubleshooting of PCBA to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
• Utilize advanced soldering techniques to repair and rework PCBAs.
• Read and interpret schematic diagrams to identify potential faults and areas requiring correction.
• Conduct thorough testing of electronic components, circuit boards, and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues and provide feedback for design improvements.
• Perform quality checks and ensure that all rework and repairs meet company and industry standards.
• Document all debugging processes, repairs, and tests in detail, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing training and sharing best practices to enhance team performance.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures while working with electronic components and tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in debugging and troubleshooting PCBA.
• Strong soldering skills, with the ability to perform fine pitch and surface-mount soldering.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematic diagrams and circuit diagrams.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and thermal cameras.
• Knowledge of electronic components, circuit design, and fault isolation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Functional Testing Equipment (FCT) and/or In-Circuit Testing (ICT) systems and/or Flying Probe.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
• Certification in electronics or related field (IPC 610, IPC 7711/7721) with Class 3 knowledge being an advantage.
