Role Overview

The Decor Planning Specialist will support The Wedding Company's decor category by reviewing, structuring, and standardising decor data across aesthetics, inclusions/exclusions, and pricing. This role is critical to building a scalable, tech-led decor planning and costing system. This is a planning and analysis role, suited for candidates with strong exposure to decor production, costing, or vendor-side planning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Decor Image Planning & Review

• Analyse decor images across multiple categories (mandaps, stages, centrepieces, ambience, entrances, etc.)
• Tag images for aesthetics, themes, and use-cases based on internal frameworks
• Identify repeat elements and standardise categorisation

2. Inclusions & Exclusions Validation

• Correct inaccuracies based on real production understanding
• Ensure consistency across similar decor setups and categories

3. Pricing & Costing Corrections

• Validate overall image-level pricing (not vendor negotiation)
• Flag under-priced or over-priced references
• Align prices with category-wise production logic and market benchmark Ideal Candidate Profile
• 25 years experience in decor production, decor planning, or vendor-side operations

What goes into a setup vs what is optional

Cost drivers in wedding decor

• Comfortable working with large image datasets
• Detail-oriented, structured, and patient with repetitive review work
• Able to make judgment calls independently and justify decisions
