Defects Manager

About the role

Oversee and manage defects rectification works for construction projects, including planning, coordination and monitoring of defects rectification schedules to ensure timely completion. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams on defects-related matters, conduct site inspections, identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage defects rectification works for construction projects
• Plan, coordinate and monitor defects rectification schedules to ensure timely completion
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams on defects-related matters
• Conduct site inspections, identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Monitor subcontractors' performance and ensure rectification works meet project requirements
• Manage defects reporting, documentation and handover during the Defects Liability Period (DLP)
• Resolve complaints and ensure client satisfaction

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Singapore's construction industry, preferably in main contractor projects
• Strong knowledge of construction defects, quality control and rectification procedures
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Experience in large-scale building projects will be an advantage
