Defence - Systems Engineer

Randstad is currently working with a sovereign defence manufacturer of high-tech defence systems that is integrated onto various defence platforms operating in mission-critical environments. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on a project to support the Australian Defence Force to enhance their surveillance, air battlespace management, and air defence systems.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Adelaide.

About The Role

• Conduct major engineering assignments in collaboration with other members of the project engineering team.
• Perform requirement analysis and design and implement engineering solutions to meet regulatory requirements and customer's needs.
• Conduct verification and validation (V&V) and prepare verification plans and procedures.
• Conduct and manage system testing activities, as well as identify system requirements and manage configuration.

About You

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Software or a related discipline).
• Extensive V&V experience with mission-critical systems.
• Proficient in hardware installation and configuration.
• Experience with electrical systems, including Voice Communications Systems, Radios, or Telephony (VoIP, analog, or digital).
• Experience working on all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.
• Experience working with complex defence projects is highly desirable.
