Duties

• Prepare and assemble a variety of deli products with precision and care, following safety and quality standards
• Operate our Toast POS system to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Engage with customers by taking their orders, offering product suggestions, and upselling items to enhance their experience
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation and food safety regulations at all times
• Manage food handling responsibilities, including proper storage, portioning, and labeling of deli items
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation activities
• Process cash transactions accurately while managing cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end

Pay Rate: Hourly + Tip Pooling

Experience

• Prior experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments involving food handling is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive interactions and upselling opportunities
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper kitchen procedures
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and inventory management
• Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a café or restaurant environment will be considered an asset
