Deli Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of deli products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent time management skills, and the ability to upsell products effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional products.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all health and safety guidelines.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring that products are fresh and well-stocked.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently when required.

Skills

• Previous experience in food preparation or a restaurant environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
• Experience in a kitchen or culinary setting is advantageous.
• Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
