Duties

• Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Provide friendly customer service by assisting guests with selections, answering questions, and upselling products to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food handling areas following safety protocols.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering duties and balancing registers at shift end.
• Restock deli items, organize displays, and ensure product freshness while adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Support food preparation tasks like slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salads or sandwiches in a quick service environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, deli operations, or retail environments is highly preferred.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to upsell products confidently.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, grocery store transactions, and inventory management.
• Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced quick service or fast food restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail.
