Requirements/Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the deli counter, including answering questions and taking orders.
• Slice meats and cheeses, prepare salads, sandwiches, and hot foods according to company standards.
• Package, label, weigh, and price deli products accurately.
• Maintain clean work areas, sanitize equipment, and follow all food safety guidelines.
• Stock and rotate deli items, check expiration dates, and assist with inventory counts.
• Operate deli equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, fryers, and scales.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math skills for weighing and pricing items.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 25–40 lbs.
• Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

• Frequent standing, bending, and lifting.
• Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, and refrigerated areas.
