Duties

• Prepare a variety of deli foods including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts with precision and care.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and offering upselling suggestions to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, handling food safely, and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Restock shelves, organize products, and ensure the deli display is attractive and fully stocked throughout the shift.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, manage cash handling procedures, and perform basic math calculations for sales totals.
• Assist with food handling tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing ready-to-eat items while following proper sanitation protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to upsell products confidently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Basic math skills for cashiering duties including making change and performing sales calculations.
• Experience working in retail or grocery store environments is advantageous; culinary or restaurant experience is highly valued. Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
