Duties

• Prepare a variety of deli foods hot foods following safety and quality standards
• Operate POS systems such as rubi 2 for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Assist customers with their food orders, provide product recommendations, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including sanitizing equipment, counters, and food handling areas in compliance with sanitation regulations
• Manage cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and handle cash safely and accurately
• Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all deli products are properly labeled and stored at appropriate temperatures
• Follow food safety procedures including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and inventory management to ensure quality standards are met

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or cafés is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems pos va lottory is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards required for handling perishable items
• Retail sales experience with a focus on upselling techniques is a plus

Pay: $12.90 - $13.00 per hour
