Deli Clerk

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality deli products, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties

• Prepare and package a variety of deli items, including meats, and cheeses
• Operate cash register for accurate cash handling and transactions
• Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and provide friendly service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including counters, and equipment
• Restock shelves and display cases as needed to ensure product availability
• Upsell additional items to enhance customer experience and sales opportunities
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
• Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure quality and compliance

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry roles is preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety protocols
• Experience with processing cash and interact purchases
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Food handling experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
