Deli Cook

Our new Compass Travel Center located in DeMotte Indiana is NOW OPEN! The new Compass Travel Center is designed to be the premier experience for professional drivers and interstate travelers. We seek proactive, career-minded professionals, passionate about growing a career with Compass Travel Center! Our facility offers many amenities including restaurants, truck fueling lanes, automobile and RV fueling lanes, showers, drivers lounge, grab-and-go food, truck supplies, clean restrooms, truck parking, and more!

The Travel Center Deli Specialist is expected to:

• Prepare, serve, and display all hot and cold deli foods
• Prep cut fruits and salads
• Monitor expiration dates
• Work with and assist other deli staff when needed
• Stock coolers and freezers
• Suggestively sell customers our Deli products and other food items
• Follow safe food product handling procedures
• Properly prepare deli items following recipes and procedures
• Monitor hold times and temperatures on hot and cold deli items
• Properly record waste when product hold time expires
• Maintain cleanliness of food preparation area as well as the C-Store deli area
• Maintain organization of the deli area
• Maintain a professional image for Compass Travel Center
