Deli Service Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team at Gnome Nom Nom Deli downtown. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their deli selections.
• Prepare and serve deli items including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in accordance with health regulations.
• Operate the POS system efficiently to process customer transactions.
• Ensure all products are stocked and displayed attractively.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers regarding menu items.

Experience

• Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations, culinary practices, or restaurant environments is a plus.
• Serve Safe Certification preferred not required
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Experience with sanitation practices to ensure food safety standards are upheld.
• Have knowledge on a deli slicer
