Deli Supervisor

B Street Deli is one of the longest-standing businesses on the street. A much-loved local institution with a loyal base of regulars and a reputation for great food and genuine hospitality. We're looking for a Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to bring the best out of a team.

The role

This is a hands-on supervisory position at the heart of our daily operations. You'll be leading by example, keeping service running at pace, and making sure every customer leaves happy. Customer service and speed of service are everything here. Your ability to motivate and drive the team around you will be key.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations alongside the managers and ensure a smooth, efficient service at all times

• Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver consistently excellent customer experiences

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene

• Assist with managing inventory, orders, and stock levels

• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues confidently and professionally

• Support the training and development of team members

• Work closely with management on catering and menu updates

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or assistant management experience in the food industry

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and maintain pace during busy service

• A genuine passion for great food and customer satisfaction

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Flexibility to work across a 7-day operation including weekends

• Right to work in the UK (required)

Familiarity with Food Alert, Square, BrightSafe and/or Planday is a plus.

What we offer

• £13.00 per hour

• Plus service charge (approximately £4.50 per hour)

• Permanent, full-time position

• Immediate start available
