Deli Worker

Duties

• Prepare and assemble deli products such as sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts with precision and attention to food safety standards
• Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products, making recommendations, and upselling items to enhance sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling, sanitation practices, and proper bussing of tables or counters
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy while ensuring quick checkout processes
• Assist with food stocking, inventory management, and restocking shelves to ensure product availability
• Support overall food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or cafés is preferred
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate measurement of ingredients
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience working in a retail grocery store or restaurant environment is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
