Deli/Bakery Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery/Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our Bakery/Deli operates smoothly and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This position involves various tasks, including food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and assisting customers with their selections. Duties

• Assist in the preparation of baked goods, ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met.
• Prepare chicken, sandwiches, salads, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing customer transactions accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations.
• Upsell products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
• Follow recipes and instructions for food preparation while maintaining consistency in product quality.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience in food preparation or the food industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating POS systems is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of retail math for basic inventory management is beneficial.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with sanitation practices and kitchen safety protocols is essential.
