Delivery & Install Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery & Installation Technician to deliver, install, and demonstrate freestanding domestic appliances such as washing machines, cookers, dishwashers, televisions and refrigeration units. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering products to clients and installing items as required, ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and safe service. This role involves navigating various routes, handling goods with care, and providing excellent communication throughout the delivery process. A valid driver’s licence and experience in commercial driving are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vans, to deliver goods to various locations within the designated area
• Load and unload products, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with schedule
• Install and connect appliances (i.e. Washing Machines, Cookers, Refrigeration etc) at customer sites, and testing to ensure proper setup and functionality.
• Ensure all installations are completed safely and in line with current regulations
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and installation procedures
• Provide clear demonstrations and basic usage guidance to customers
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations during transportation and installation tasks
• Provide high levels of customer service at all times

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience
• Valid driver’s licence
• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Strong organisational skills to manage routes and schedules effectively
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
• Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks associated with loading, unloading, and installation
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge

Desirable (but not essential) Skills

• Experience in white goods and televisions installation
• Electrical qualifications
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations
