Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle to deliver packages along designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices at all times
• Manage warehouse operations related to delivery preparation, including sorting packages, verifying shipment details, and organizing loads for efficient route execution
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages with professionalism, answering customer questions courteously, and ensuring a positive delivery experience
• Use mobile devices to navigate routes efficiently, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams as needed
• Assist with moving or rearranging inventory within the warehouse when required, demonstrating manual handling skills and physical endurance

Qualifications

• Prior delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with route driving and courier services is a plus
• Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks is advantageous
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving or box truck experience is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; knowledge of safe lifting practices and weight handling in the workplace required
• Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and adherence to safety protocols during driving and loading activities
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
• Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, communication, and documentation purposes
• Physical ability to handle manual tasks such as loading/unloading cargo, moving boxes, or operating manual transmission vehicles if applicable
