Duties

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise using safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques.
• Communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build strong relationships.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure all transportation equipment is in excellent condition.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and heavy lifting practices.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Basic math skills for pricing calculations, measurements, and inventory management.
• Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation.
• Ability to build lasting customer relationships through friendly service and professional conduct.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while adhering to schedules.
• Knowledge of sales techniques such as upselling to maximize revenue opportunities during deliveries.
