Duties

• Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods along designated routes
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting practices to prevent damage and injury
• Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols during driving and delivery operations
• Communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery times, address questions, and ensure satisfaction
• Manage route schedules efficiently, adjusting as needed to meet delivery deadlines
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer experience and sales goals
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
• Knowledge of route planning, traffic laws, and safe driving practices
• Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations and basic inventory management
• Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
• Ability to lift heavy packages using safe lifting practices regularly throughout the shift
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and automobile transportation standards
• Organizational skills to manage deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• CDL driver license
