Due to continued business growth, we are seeking two experienced, reliable, and motivated Delivery Drivers to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Route Planning & Deliveries

• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Safely operate company vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles.
• Complete deliveries to residential, commercial, and rural locations, including properties with narrow driveways, limited access, and challenging delivery environments.
• Ensure freight is delivered safely and on schedule while maintaining excellent customer service.

Loading, Unloading & Freight Handling

• Load, secure, transport, and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Operate an electric pallet jack for loading and unloading freight.
• Perform manual handling, lifting, carrying, and hand unloading of freight where required.
• Ensure freight is secured correctly and handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Obtain proof of delivery and maintain accurate delivery records.

Customer Service & Documentation

• Verify delivery instructions, manifests, and transport documentation.
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers.
• Collect payments and manage delivery-related paperwork where required.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.

Vehicle Care & Compliance

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report maintenance or repair requirements.
• Comply with all road transport regulations, company policies, and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants should have:

• Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Ability to confidently drive manual transmission vehicles.
• At least 6 months of relevant delivery driving, freight transport, or courier experience.
• Candidate must have F Endorsement and Dangerous Goods (D) Endorsement.
• Experience operating an electric pallet jack is preferred.
• Experience delivering to narrow driveways, restricted-access properties, and challenging delivery locations.
• Good knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices.
• Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, manual handling, and hand unloading of freight.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including early morning starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
