Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise or packages with heavy lifting as needed, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, building strong customer relationships through friendly service and clear communication.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and route logs in compliance with company policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure automobile transportation safety and report any issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles within retail stores or similar environments.
• Knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and client communication techniques.
• Familiarity with route driving, heavy lifting procedures, and safe lifting practices.
• Strong math skills for calculating distances, measurements, and basic financial transactions related to sales or pricing.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and management.
• Understanding of DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving to ensure compliance at all times.
• Prior experience in sales or upselling is a plus for maximizing customer engagement opportunities.
