Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs across designated areas.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise using safe lifting practices, demonstrating strength and precision during heavy lifting tasks.
• Communicate professionally with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build positive relationships.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain optimal safety and performance; report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and meet sales goals.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a solid understanding of route driving strategies.
• Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic measurements, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and management.
• Knowledge of retail store operations and merchandising principles is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Familiarity with sales techniques and customer relationship building to foster trust and loyalty.
• Understanding of DOT regulations to ensure compliance during all driving activities.
