Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with heavy lifting techniques when necessary, maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, building strong relationships through professional client communication.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
• Follow organizational procedures for route driving, merchandising, and inventory management to optimize efficiency.

Experience

• Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred.
• Retail store experience is a plus, especially roles involving customer service or merchandising.
• Demonstrated ability in basic math for pricing calculations and route planning.
• Strong communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial truck driving is essential.
• Proven organizational skills to manage schedules, routes, and delivery documentation effectively.
• Experience in sales or upselling techniques can be advantageous in enhancing customer interactions.
