Delivery Driver

About the role

The Dispatcher / Delivery Driver is a split role at Parrotdog, combining Wellington local delivery driving with support to the wider dispatch and warehouse operation.

On the road, this role is Parrotdog's face at our customers' doors, getting the right beer to the right place, on time, and in great condition.

Back at the brewery, this role works alongside the dispatch team on outbound orders, inbound goods, and general warehouse work. It's a hands-on, varied role that suits someone who takes pride in customer-facing work, in looking after their vehicle, and in mucking in with the wider team when the van's not out.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive Parrotdog's Wellington local delivery van, following the daily delivery run efficiently and safely.
• Represent Parrotdog for every delivery
• Load, secure, and unload deliveries safely to protect stock and property.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, keep the van clean, and report any faults or issues early.
• Manage delivery documentation, proof of delivery, and any customer-facing paperwork.
• Pick customer orders accurately, and efficiently.
• Build pallets, wrap, Label and prepare orders for dispatch
• Load Parrotdog's own delivery van, trucks, and export containers.
• Support the Dispatcher in receiving inbound goods: raw materials, packaging materials, and returns.
• Operate the forklift safely.

The Ideal Candidate will have

• Full, New Zealand driver's license.
• Current forklift license with F endorsement.
• Previous delivery driving or logistics experience, ideally in beverage, food, or FMCG.
• Comfortable with customer-facing work and representing a brand well at the door.
• Physically capable of loading, unloading, and warehouse work (lifting, standing, working in cold storage).
• Good attention to detail with picking, loading, and paperwork.
• Sound time management and route planning.
• Reliable, positive team member who is happy to muck in across the wider team.
