Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, optimizing time and fuel usage while ensuring timely arrivals.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring product integrity during transit.
• Engage with customers professionally, building rapport through clear communication and excellent customer service skills.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging retail store experience to enhance sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in accordance with organizational standards.
• Conduct merchandising activities at delivery sites to support retail store presentation standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation roles; familiarity with commercial truck driving is a plus.
• Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and transaction handling.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operation and safety standards.
• Retail store experience or background in merchandising is preferred for understanding product placement and presentation.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in customer relationship building is highly valued.
