Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity.
• Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks.
• Engage with customers professionally, building strong relationships through excellent communication skills and client communication.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including pricing details, invoices, and delivery logs.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs to ensure safe transportation at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, preferably within retail or delivery services.
• Familiarity with retail store operations, merchandising, and client relationship building is highly desirable.
• Strong math skills for calculating pricing, discounts, and change during transactions.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving and safe lifting practices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and route coordination.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Organizational skills necessary for route planning, inventory management, and timely deliveries.
