About the role

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join the team at Coby Traders & General Merchandise. This is a full-time position based in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that our products reach customers safely, on time, and in perfect condition. This role is essential to our operations and directly impacts customer satisfaction and our reputation in the marketplace. You will be responsible for managing routes, maintaining vehicle standards, and delivering exceptional service with every stop.

Key responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations and company policies
• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers
• Load and unload merchandise carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper organisation
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations, signatures, and documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing any enquiries or concerns regarding their deliveries
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or damage immediately
• Maintain a clean and presentable appearance and vehicle at all times
• Meet daily and weekly delivery targets whilst maintaining high service standards
• Handle cash or card payments where applicable, ensuring accuracy and security
• Provide feedback on delivery efficiency and customer feedback to management

What we're looking for

• Valid commercial driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a delivery driver or similar driving role
• Excellent knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation in Cagayan de Oro and surrounding areas
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to meeting delivery deadlines
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry parcels safely
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
• Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
• Ability to work independently whilst following company procedures and guidelines
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform routine checks
• Experience with delivery management systems or GPS navigation is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
