Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while maintaining efficiency.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting practices to prevent damage or injury.
• Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building positive relationships through professional client interaction.
• Manage cash transactions, pricing adjustments, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations.
• Basic math skills for handling pricing, invoices, and transaction calculations.
• Proven ability in customer service with excellent communication skills.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing safe lifting practices regularly.
• Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product handling.
• Organizational skills to manage schedules, deliveries, and client communication effectively.
