Location: Barnsley (local deliveries only)
Hours: Flexible working pattern, minimum 10 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, friendly and safety‑focused Pharmacy Delivery Driver to support our team in Barnsley. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive their medication promptly, securely and with exceptional care. This is a community‑focused position where you’ll be the face of the pharmacy for many of our most vulnerable patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prescription medication to patients’ homes, care homes and community settings across Barnsley.
• Provide excellent customer service with every interaction.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all NHS, GPhC and pharmacy safety standards.
• Ensure accurate delivery, secure handling and correct documentation of medicines.
• Plan efficient routes and manage time effectively.
• Support the pharmacy team with occasional in‑store tasks when required.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• A reliable vehicle (if using own car) and valid insurance.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, caring manner.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Good knowledge of Barnsley and surrounding areas is an advantage.
• Previous delivery or healthcare experience is beneficial but not essential — full training provided.
